2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, Spring Mountain District

The nose of this wine contains notes of black cherry and molasses. There are lively hints of rosemary and crushed herbs. As you take the wine in your mouth, you taste cherry, cedar, and lively acids. The wine finishes with beautiful, dusty tannins that will become more and more elegant as this mountain Cabernet ages.

2007 Chardonnay, Russian River Valley

Harvested from select vineyards in the Russian River Valley, this unique blend was selected for the classical characteristics embraced in the finest French White Burgundies: clean and crisp, bright acids, beautiful tropical notes and elegant structure.

 The 2007 vintage is the first wine from Fantesca to benefit from Heidi Barrett's touch. She oversaw the barrel aging and final blend of this wine.

The goal was to make a wine that confidently places the fruit at center stage while complementing it with nuanced winemaking skill which adds depth, complexity and balance. The three separate vineyard lots were thoughtfully paired to individual oak and fermentation protocols to weave into a seamless blend.
